Dr Tsorakidis lives in London for over fifteen years and holds a PhD in Finance from Aston University. He has significant experience at senior academic management positions in international education. From 2006 to 2010 he served as MBA Director at Hult International Business School-London campus (Ranked in Financial Times 100 top MBA institutions worldwide).
Nikos introduced (planning, design, development, execution) an MBA study center for the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in London between the years 2011 -2013 and successfully launched the program with over 300 students enrolled in the first 24 months (generated over £3m in revenue for the school). As the MBA director at Hult International Business School, he successfully led the program on higher FT rankings and contributed to the increase of enrolled students and significant improvement in student satisfaction survey results.
In 2017 he was offered the post of External Examiner at Hult International Business School. The role of the External Examiner within the assessment procedures of the program includes the obligation to review and comment on design and operation of assessment, design and delivery of relevant curricula, the enhancement of the student learning experience and to comment on whether the Academic Standards of the program meet UK and US requirements.
He has extensive contacts with schools, universities and agents in over forty countries, notably in Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, South East Asia, the Former Soviet Union, the Indian subcontinent and the USA. His activities have led to students from all these locations coming to the U.K. for MBA and Masters programmes in Business, Bachelors degrees in an even wider range of academic disciplines and study abroad opportunities for ‘visiting’ and ‘exchange’ students, notably from the U.S.A.
In addition to his academic interests, Nikos is actively involved in the hospitality and tourism industry. He co-founded Omegasail, a leading yacht charter company that owns and manages a fleet of over 20 sailing yachts in Greece. He is widely travelled in Europe, the USA, South America and Asia.
